After Birth: How to Recover Body and Mind

Postpartum books I recommend

I’d love to start a Little Library of books I recommend to read when planning for postpartum.

Hatcher-Moore says,

“Childbirth itself can lead to a trail of physical and mental consequences that most women are unprepared for, and the gap between expectation and reality can make it hard to bear.”

This one is 💯. It struck home right away.

Let’s empower each other to talk about what postpartum actually is like. Let’s talk about the hard stuff like incontinence and engorgement (the stuff that everyone goes through).

Full of relevant and up to date information, from everything that happens during the first six weeks, to diet and nutrition, to pelvic floor and sex, and partner relationships and self care, nothing is left out of this book.

You will have an inside scoop on all things physical healing so that when it’s your turn to be postpartum you have a realistic expectation of the physical and emotional changes you may experience as well as how to navigate them.

What do you wish you had known would change about your mind and body before having a baby?
